west marin

nicasio, california - west marin county. a large part of marin county looks like this. actually, a lot of california looks like this. the hills are still green because we had a little rain recently. soon they will turn brown, but that's ok because we like not having any rain for five or six months at a time - no humid summers here. :)

it was way too hot for me this weekend though. we went to angel island yesterday and it was blazing hot. today the same is expected - like about 90 in downtown SF. not humid though!

i prefer the normal weather - 65 and sunny most of the time, or 60 and foggy. whichever, as long as it's cooler than 75, i am good to go.

today though i will probably not be going anywhere. just too hot!

i love west marin. my grandparents lived in san anselmo, and my grandpa would take me for drives out there, as far back as i can remember. we used to eat lunch in the old cemetery on hwy 1, just south of olema.

i love it out there too - there are more cows out there than people, even though it is so close to the city - i didn't take any cow pictures this time though :)
