This was not taken today. It was taken about a year ago, on one of MY birthdays. Today does not look like this.   It's grey and drizzling and we stayed in the 'hood and ate bagels at Angelina's after watching two episodes of Leave It To Beaver on TV.

Rachel, aka the DD, would not let me take her picture today. She had not washed her hair yet. It is her 37th birthday. Mine was 56. We are both middle-aged, hehe - I am middle middle and she is early middle.

Anyway.... on her birthday the past few years I have linked to the Dove commercial she made a few years ago, when they already considered her an "older woman."  I find that sick, but I love the commerical.   If you have already seen it, skip it.  If not you can watch it for fun.  It's very cute.  It ran on national TV for about two years.
