picnic weather
It was definitely picnic weather out there today, but we did not have a picnic with us - it was too late in the day already when Joe got home from having to work almost all day. :(
But at least we got some walkies in before heading off to Trader Joe's to buy foodstuffs.
Earlier I worked on getting a few more things up in my newly re-opened Etsy Shop.
I have plans for adding a lot more art and photos as well as the bits of fun jewelry.
The jewelry will generally be inexpensive, since I am just learning how to make simple things and I am not using expensive materials for the most part.
The original art pieces will generally be priced higher than the jewelry, because I do know what I'm doing, and since those are original items... well, they are worth what I think they are worth (to me), and if no one else thinks so, that's fine, I will enjoy keeping them right here. :)
The photos... I'm not sure how to work that section yet, because I list some prints on other sites, and I do not want to do a lot printing myself. I guess I can just list a few of my favorites and then outsource them as they sell (assuming any do) - and perhaps list some prints of art as well, rather than the originals.
We shall see... but anyway it's a lot of work getting items up there - very tedious. It reminds me of why I stopped selling stuff on ebay a few years ago, in addition to the fact that I came to really hate ebay in general and I do not shop there anymore either.
On Etsy, I listed a few things in the very beginning, like three years ago, but it was so small then, and I was listing original art, and it was not "crafty" looking in that Somerset or cutesy kind of style like most of what was up there at the time.
But now there is more variety and more of a price range too on Etsy, so it's time to give it another try, I suppose.
And maybe the fees when you sell are not so bad - when you add up all the fees for listing and selling and then the cut Paypal takes when customers pay, it can wipe out any profit. :(
